On 23 September 2026, Ms. Claire Beaumont, a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA), officially began her teaching activities at the National Higher School of Art and Design (ENSAD) of Hassan II University of Casablanca for the academic year 2026/2027.
The first classes were held in the presence of Prof. Abderrahim Khalidi, Director of ENSAD; Prof. Lahcen Amahimar, Deputy Director; and Prof. Omar El Ghazi, Professor of English and Communication Techniques, who will accompany and support Ms. Beaumont throughout her assignment.
Ms. Beaumont’s placement is part of the Fulbright ETA Program and of the wider cooperation between the Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (MACECE) and Hassan II University of Casablanca. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to strengthening English-language education and encouraging academic and intercultural exchange.
Through her classes and her interactions with students and faculty, Ms. Beaumont will help improve students’ English proficiency and intercultural skills, while bringing an international perspective to English-language teaching at ENSAD.
The start of these classes marks another step in ENSAD’s efforts to deepen international academic cooperation and foster educational and cultural exchange between the Moroccan Kingdom and the United States of America.
